Dreyfus remarks on issues for broadcasting and copyright law

This month the Attorney General Mark Dreyfus KC MP officially opened collecting agency Screenrights new office in The Rocks, Sydney.

At the event he reiterated his support for copyright during a time of unique change for rightsholders as consumer viewing habits shift from traditional broadcast to online.

Screenrights chair Kim Dalton said the current definition of broadcasting in the Copyright Act is no longer fit for purpose and welcomed the Attorney General’s Department’s focus on reform.
