As sports broadcasting heavyweights came together for the IMG-RedBird summit this week the concerning growth of piracy was a key point of discussion as well as the need for collective collaboration to deal with the issue.
Javier Tebas, President of Spain’s top division La Liga, said the main challenge for soccer is “piracy and audio visual fraud” which is steadily growing with one in three people in Spain watching sport without paying for it.
