The US Department of Justice seized almost 400 domains illegally streaming FIFA World Cup matches as part of Operation Offsides, a coordinated international crackdown spanning Peru, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Poland, and Colombia. The operation was supported by FIFA, NBC Universal, and the Motion Picture Association, disrupting criminal networks profiting from unauthorised broadcasts.
