In July the Federal Court of Australia issued an urgent pre-release site-blocking order requiring ISPs to block 32 pirate streaming sites poised to offer Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey before it hit cinemas.
The case is significant in Australia as the studios acted before the film was released and the court accepted a prima facie case that these sites would facilitate infringement once the film was available.
