A key figure in the Sparks Group international piracy operation involved in illegally distributing film and TV programming online has been extradited to the US where he will face copyright infringement and wire fraud charges.
Briton George Bridi and two other named individuals are alleged to be members of the Sparks Group, which offered online nearly every movie released by the major studios as well as TV shows.
The Group allegedly tricked video wholesalers into trusting them to provide physical copies of video titles prior to their release dates, then ripped them to digital formats for illegal distribution online.
