ACE, the anti-piracy coalition, has set up a new global task force to crack down on sports piracy that is draining billions of dollars from the industry each year.
The new group is backed by live sports streaming service DAZN and broadcaster beIN and will work alongside Interpol and Europol to pursue enforcement actions against piracy operators.
Jan van Voorn, executive vice-president and head of ACE, said: “The addition of DAZN and the creation of the ACE sports piracy task force marks a turning point for ACE and confirms yet again that we are the essential partner to anyone who recognises the threat of piracy to their business.”
