New piracy research by Swedish consultancy Mediavision has revealed that a quarter (28%) of the population use illegal services. Half a million households also admitted to subscribing to illegal IPTV services, an annual increase of 19%.
In response, anti-piracy agency Nordic Content Protection has launched a new consumer education campaign highlighting the consumer risks and organised crime links associated with piracy.
