The non-profit online library, the Internet Archive has more than 3 million unauthorised in-copyright ebooks available on their site and is not paying rights holders their dues, according to this story in The Age.
For one Melbourne-based actor Ben McKenzie, he recently discovered that his popular audio drama series Night Terrace had been uploaded to the site and accessed 3000 times.
In dollar terms that equates to a month’s minimum-wage income for five creators.
