In the US, MPA Chairman Charles Rivkin joined a delegation of tech leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, in a closed-door meeting with US senators to discuss the rise of AI and how it should be regulated.
He told lawmakers, tech CEO’s and labor groups about the screen industry’s position on AI at the landmark Senate forum in Washington.
Rivkin told the forum that “we clearly recognize the legitimate concerns that this new technology presents. We are just beginning to understand both the upside and the downside risks of attempting to conclusively define this nascent technology. And we are working closely with our union and guild partners on this to establish common ground.”
