New research by FACT, which investigates cybercrime, theft and IP crime, has found that 62% of people in the UK are unaware of the hidden dangers of piracy, such as fraud, identity theft and malware, or its links to criminal gangs.
The research also revealed that once aware of the wider risks 39% would advise friends and family against it.
