Piracy losses in Italy outweigh consumer spending

According to Italy’s anti-piracy body FAPAV, Italians spent almost 1.6 billion euros on video entertainment in 2023, a 7% increase year-on-year. However, the positive news was offset by estimations that piracy during the same period led to a 1.7 billion euro loss for the industry.
