When the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment shut down illegal pirate streaming network Area 51 in 2020, it was widely understood that repeat copyright infringer Jason Tusa was barred from operating any new services. But in a new ‘breach of contract’ law suit filed against him on July 6, 2021, a consortium of Hollywood Studios, Netflix and Amazon claims that Tusa is linked to copyright infringing IPTV platforms Singularity Media and Digital Unicorn Media (recently rebranded as Altered Carbon TV), all of which have exploited the copyrighted works of multiple parties across hundreds of titles.
